The sun is considered one of the most powerful elements in Nordic mythology. The Sun has always been a powerful symbol for people in North. During the summer months the Sun stays above the horizon and refuses to set until the fall comes. In Winter time arctic landscape never gets truly light... after few hours of dim blue light the day turns dark again following by magical Northern Lights that fills the northern sky with vivid colors...
Ainut is located in Kittila, North Central Lapland, 150 miles north from the Arctic Circle. It employs two local artisans: Ari "Lake's End" and Milla "Bad River" who have specialized silver and reindeer antler jewelry and traditional Lapland crafts like shaman drums and reindeer antler carvings.
